Dear Patients,

As of October 22, 2007, Koren Barrett will no longer be seeing patients at the Institute for Progressive Medicine. Please be advised that there will be no interruption in the care of autistic children in our practice. Both myself and Victoria Cupic M.D. have attended DAN! conferences and are listed with the Autism Research Institute. In addition, I have over twenty five years of experience working with neurologically impaired and injured children. For ten years, before coming to California, I was Assistant Medical Director at the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia, which focuses on intensive non-drug therapies to enhance the neurological development of children.

DAN! protocols are highly effective in treating children with autism.  We have seen improvements, sometimes dramatic, in almost all the children who come to our clinic. Along with nutritional and behavioral therapies, and hyperbaric oxygen, intravenous chelation and phosphatidylcholine infusions have been most beneficial. We now have two full-time registered nurses on staff, Shannon and Joanne, who are extremely proficient and gentle, and treat over 25 children each week.

We welcome you to continue your child’s services at IFPM.  Be assured that our doctors, nurses and support staff will continue to offer the best care possible. If you would like to make an appointment for a doctor’s visit or to continue IV therapy, please call reception at 949-600-5100.

Sincerely yours,

Allan Sosin, M.D.
Medical Director
