At the Institute for Progressive Medicine we offer integrative pediatrics - individual-oriented medicine that treats the whole child incorporating all aspects of a child's life. Integrative pediatrics makes use of all appropriate therapies, both conventional and alternative. We form an active partnership with parents, as they play an integral role in their children's health care.
Our doctors are interested in children receiving the best treatment for their particular condition as well as discussing healthy lifestyle choices to prevent illness. We approach each child as an individual, not just a child with a disease. We will take the time to get to know your child and family and to develop a treatment plan that emphasizes healing in the most gentle and effective ways possible.
There are several conditions in children that often respond very well to integrative therapies when traditional therapies have not helped. These include chronic immune conditions such as persistent ear infections, gastrointestinal distress, childhood obesity and diabetes, allergies, autism, and ADHD-like behavior. Many of these conditions do not require drugs and rapidly improve using specific dietary and lifestyle changes.
If your child is having difficulty, our doctors offer a full evaluation, testing and treatment regimen to get to the root of the problem. If you have questions about a specific condition and how we can help your child, please call our office.
